HALIMA HILLS ARABIANS
We
are located in the beautiful rolling hills of Central Ohio. I have loved
and bred Yorkshire Terriers since 1985 (23 years), and Maltese since 1994
(14 years). It has been a sincere passion of mine, to improve each dog with
each generation. Going on my fifth generation, I have always tried to
breed within the Standard of the Yorkshire Terrier and
Maltese. Incorporating good producing Champion
lines for certain desirable qualities.
I have spent years breeding and buying the best representatives of the breed
I could aquire. Please do not think that because it is a Yorkshire Terrier
that they all resemble or look the same, they "Do Not". It takes careful
selection in breeding any breed to represent what that particular breed
should look like, that is why their is a Standard.
Don`t be dissapointed by what you think you are getting. To many people have
come to me saying that the puppy they purchased was not what they were told
it would be, it grew very large, ears didn`t stand, rough or cottony coat,
health problems, etc.
If you do not care what your Yorkie will look like as an adult, they are out
there in all sizes, shapes, prices, etc. If you want a Yorkie that looks
like it stepped right out of a Breed book, please go to a reputable breeder
you`ll be much happier.
I found this article at
EDEN VALLEY YORKSHIRE TERRIERS and agree with it
100%.
With 30+ years in the breed,
breeding for quality has been, and still is top priority. If you are looking
for quality in your next companion or pet, then you will definitely want to
purchase from a breeder who has the experience that you are counting on.
Remember, anyone can be a breeder and the Internet is full of "breeders"
listings. Even if your purchase is not with me, I would like you to choose a
person of reputation to do business with, so you will be completely
satisfied.
Being a breeder isn`t just as simple as putting 2 dogs together and hope for
good puppies. Pedigree study will bring out the good qualities on each side
is what constitutes being a "responsible breeder."
The Internet is an advertising source only and, all advertisers are not the
same caliber. The qualities of Yorkies that some breeders produce are only a
reflection of their reason for breeding in the first place. If they`re not
breeding to "improve" with each litter, then they`re not dedicated to
preserve the quality of the breed.
If you are not aware, there are in fact puppy millers on the Internet. Be
very careful when choosing a breeder, if you do not feel 100% comfortable
with the person you are talking to, and too many red flags go up, that
should be your clue to keep looking, no matter how long it takes.
I am telling you these things not to scare you, or "put you off" on the
breed. I don`t even mind the cost to post this information on the Internet
because I know down deep in my heart that someone will read it and learn
from it.
